Striped German

I visited family in Arlington, VA one fall and my niece let me taste a couple of these she had grown.  One taste and I knew I had to add it to my list. The fruit is shaded yellow with red marbled interior and looks beautiful sliced.  Complex, fruity flavor and smooth texture.  Only a few fruits were under one pound with the largest weighing 2.7 pounds.  Don’t ask how many tomato sandwiches I ate with these beauties.
