Seed of this heirloom variety was supposedly discovered in a pile of debris after the Great Flood of 1884.  It has survived to this day because of the huge, superbly flavored fruit it produces in generous numbers.  Dark pink tomato are at least 1 pound, and usually more toward 2 pounds, and juicy, brimming with delicious, old-fashioned taste.
