These round little cherry bomb-type peppers are a classic Hungarian hot pepper. Flavor is rich, heat is high but not too extreme. Fruit is about 1″round, red cherry shaped. Relatively thick walls make this a great variety for hot sauce, stuffing, or drying for spicy paprika, and exceptional for pickling whole. Early to ripen and productive in our PNW climate. A great alternative to Cherry Bomb, the Semenis/Monsanto hybrid. The variety originates in Szentes, Hungary, which is known for growing amazing paprika!
